Management Accountant


Soul Assembly is a brand new games developer currently consisting of 40+ employees. We are working on some of the most downloaded and high-profile titles in the XR space today from our contemporary and comfortable offices in the centre of Leamington Spa. The Management Accountant will be responsible for diligent reporting and financial control of our business, and ensure that our finance policies, procedures and initiatives are effective, efficient, and aligned to overall business objectives and Company values. You will report directly to the CFO.

Duties of the Management Accountant will include: providing monthly management accounts with variance analysis and cash-flow forecasts, maintaining proper financial records of the business in Xero, preparing monthly payroll and reporting to HMRC, working closely with the senior leadership team and our external partners to provide relevant financial information, financial modelling and business planning, providing oversight of statutory filings, working closely with our auditors and contributing to the financial success of the Company. 


  • Track record in financial management with a minimum of two years post-qualification experience (CIMA, ACCA, ACA), ideally with a background in the video game, SaaS or consumer entertainment industries.
  • Proven ability to operate, influence and collaborate at all levels within the organisation, particularly senior management.
  • Ability to create adaptable financial models in Excel and Google Sheets
  • Experienced and skilled communicator
  • Confident, friendly, supportive, style of management.
  • Able to take initiative and apply a logical and solution focused approach to problem solving; rather than relying on a ‘by the book’ approach
  • Knowledge of relevant finance legislation and ability to work with senior members of staff and audit partners,
  • Experience working in fast-moving environments; the ability to alter course and focus
  • Must meet objectives while working independently 
  • Demonstrate a discreet and diplomatic approach when discussing sensitive financial matters, and adhere to and ensure high levels of confidentiality.
